Get started with Motion through our app

We’re now welcoming new members at our San Francisco clinic, right in SoMa.

Sample in-app messaging conversation between Motion Care Advocate and sample member, Julia Motion: 'Hi Julia, welcome to Motion! How can we help you today? Would you like to schedule an appointment?' Julia: 'Yes, that would be great.' Motion: 'To better match you to one of our clinicians, can you give us a little more information?' Motion sends Julia a link: 'Tell us about your issue or injury'

About me

I knew I wanted to be an athletic trainer after sustaining a knee injury my sophomore year of high school. The care I received from my school’s athletic trainer helped fuel a passion for getting athletes back to playing the sports they love. I am excited about understanding the when, how, and why of injuries. I am also focused on motion analysis, return to play, and injury prevention training.

Special interests

My special interests include evaluating, treating, and preventing sports injuries, performance and functional movement based dysfunctions, return to play/activity, and performance testing and training.

Clinical scope

On-site emergency care
Evaluate progress and diagnose functional deficits
Manual therapies
Recommend therapeutic exercise
Guide remote care
Refer and coordinate care

How I move

When I’m not at work, you will find me trying to stay active however I can. In my spare time, I enjoy DIY projects around the house, perfecting my homebrew beer recipes and having fun with my wife and two kids.
